In the heart of New York City, nestled beneath the bustling streets, lies the Underland - a subterranean world teeming with danger and wonder. It is a place where giant bats soar through the darkness, rats plot to overthrow the government, and spiders spin webs of intrigue. And it is here that Gregor, an ordinary boy from New York City, finds himself on an extraordinary adventure.
When Gregor's little sister falls through a grate in Central Park, he follows her into the Underland, never imagining that he would become entangled in a prophecy that would determine the fate of this hidden world. Along the way, he teams up with a feisty bat named Ares, a loyal rat named Luxa, and a wise old woman named Hamnet. Together, they must face the Warmbloods, a race of giant cockroaches who are determined to destroy the Underland.
